| Research Summary | My research focus is in broadening our understanding the humoral immune response to Herpes Simplex Virus Type 1 (HSV-1) and in investigating why vaccines against HSV-1 have been successful in animal models but failed in human trials. I’m particularly interested in leveraging the tools in Margie’s lab to dissect the immune response from natural infection to HSV vs the immune response from vaccine trials to explore this question. In addition, I am interested in the development of monoclonal therapeutics to treat neonatal HSV infections. |
